Southport's Beauty Salon owner wins “Super Networker” in "The Girls Mean Business" National Awards
Flutterby Salon owner Lisa Carlin has won the Prestigious Title of “Super Networker” at the recent “Girls Mean Business Awards” at the “Big Event” in Covent Garden, London on Saturday 14th of September 2013.
The Lord Street Beauty Salon Beautician was competing amongst stiff competition from other businesswomen nationally.
Owner Lisa Carlin relocated from Lanzarote in June 2011 with her family to Southport, starting her business from scratch, she took over the empty shop on Lord Street a year and a half ago and has transformed it into a warm and cosy retreat for clients to treat themselves to a pamper, the business has grown and now Lisa employs 5 staff, as well as a sports and injury specialist.
“The Girls Mean Business” was created by Claire Mitchell to inform, inspire and show that there is a better way to do things. It’s about sharing knowledge and knowhow, it is about creating more successful women owned businesses and helping more women to realise their vision. Flutterby Salon on Lord Street, Southport has swept the board amongst stiff competition from other businesses in Sefton after winning two awards at the recent Sefton Business Awards to be named “Best new business” and “Top Networker”.
Owner Lisa Carlin took over the empty shop on Lord Street a year ago and has transformed it into a warm and cosy retreat for clients to treat themselves to a pamper.
Flutterby Salon offers its clients the best in treatments and skin care products, whether it’s the latest Shellac nail polish or a relaxing Dermalogica Facial, Flutterby salon strives to give its customers the best treatment possibly tailor made to each and every clients needs.
Lisa relocated from Lanzarote in June 2011 with her family to Southport, starting her business from scratch with no clientele to now employing 2 staff and renting a room out to a sports and injury therapist.
As well as working full time in her business Lisa has thrown herself into networking and is actively involved in Sefton Chamber of Commerce, and actively gives her time to support local charities, PTA’s and other businesses.
