Dear Charity fundraiser,

I would love to help you but....

Lisa at FLutterbys is a very small, independent business, I do not make a lot of profit but I keep on trying.

Because I offer alovely service to all our clients, I get an unbelievable number of requests for vouchers and donations to charity.

Some months I can have over 40 requests for voucher donations.

I decided that I would restrict my charitable giving to one main charity and some very local or personal events, of which I choose myself

Over the past 8 years I have raised quite a lot of money for many charities by partaking in walks, zip wires and various other fundraising events.

So…. When I politely refuse your request, please remember:

I am sure the cause you are raising money for is very deserving but I do not have a lot of money to give away and, please remember that giving a gift voucher or a product is exactly the same as giving money, for a small business it is not something I can just “write off”. I am not being mean or denigrating your cause.

I wish you the best of luck with your fund raising.

x
